Our Theater Program at House of T'heArts International brings storytelling to life through the art of dramatic performance. Open to students of all levels, this program focuses on developing strong acting techniques, creativity, and emotional depth. Students will learn to convey powerful stories that inspire and uplift, with opportunities to refine their craft through hands-on training and live performances. With a faith-centered approach, our program nurtures both artistic talent and spiritual growth in a supportive and transformative environment.
Reynaldo Gamez Vallejo
Theater Teacher
Reynaldo was born in Baguano, an isolated sugar town in the province of Holguín, Cuba, in 1995. In 2016, he graduated as an actor from the Manuel Muñoz Cedeño Professional Academy of Arts, part of the National School of Arts of Cuba. For two years, he was an actor with Teatro de la Luna, one of the most prominent theater groups in Havana.
Reynaldo has written several theater pieces that have been performed in the United States. After arriving in Kentucky in 2020, he began studying audiovisual media and is currently pursuing his career as an Audiovisual Specialist in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Reynaldo will be teaching monthly workshops at our Orlando main campus, offering his expertise through engaging, hands-on sessions
Amparo Amor Padilla
Teacher | Dance & Theater
Amparo Amor Padilla was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in the summer of 1994. She began her dance training at the age of three in New York, starting with ballet and tap before expanding her repertoire to jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. Amparo studied Vaganova technique under Svetlana Caton and Venti Petrov at Lumiere Ballet. In the summer of 2008, she relocated from Long Island, NY, to Orlando, where she began taking classes at Orlando Ballet and realized dance was her true calling. She attended summer intensives at Orlando Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
In 2012, Amparo was accepted into New World School of the Arts, where she trained extensively in ballet, pointe, Limon, Graham, Horton, Laban notation, composition, Alexander Technique, Pilates, yoga, and anatomy. As part of her BFA program, she took dance teaching methods and discovered her passion for teaching the next generation of dancers. After graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016, Amparo returned to Central Florida to teach and share her dance knowledge.
A devoted wife and mother, Amparo is raising her two daughters, born in 2023 and 2024, alongside her husband. She continues to inspire young dancers in Central Florida, bringing her love for dance and dedication to family into all aspects of her life.
Laura Settecase
Theater Instructor
Laura Settecase is an accomplished artist dedicated to sharing God’s love through the transformative power of art. With a heart for serving God in humility and excellence, she has devoted her life to the arts, actively contributing to her local church and participating in international events.
Laura studied dramaturgy and theater at the University of Buenos Aires, later broadening her expertise with specialized studies in Cultural and Theater Anthropology in Milan and a Master's in Cultural Management and International Cooperation at the University of Barcelona. As the founder of El Trastero de las Artes, she has spearheaded innovative projects like Mucha Mujer, which received international recognition from UNESCO and the Barcelona City Council. Her community-focused initiatives include Memorias en danza, engaging the elderly through dance, and Temps per a tú, a program supporting individuals with disabilities.
In addition to her roles as a theater director and playwright, Laura has created and directed numerous critically acclaimed productions that explore meaningful and thought-provoking themes. Her career as an actress spans national and international stages, collaborating with renowned companies such as Comuna Baires, the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, and productions in Paris and Barcelona. Her work has earned her multiple awards and distinctions, celebrating her significant contributions to theater and culture.
Laura’s unwavering commitment to the arts and her pursuit of excellence reflect her passion for performing arts and cultural management. She continues to grow and inspire others, using her talents to glorify God and fulfill her life’s purpose through creativity and service.
Course Description
Adult class objective.
The students will be learning the basics of acting. Students will learn the “Magic If”, a pillar of Stanislavskian tradition for acting, as well as awareness of their bodies, voice projection and psychology expression on stage. I am expecting for the students to understand the basics of acting starting from exercises that explore imagination and representation. No character developing, just acting from themselves as the primary instrument fro expression. Body, voice and physiology through awareness of their own presence on stage. Students are expected to participate and follow basic instructions. Students are expected to be able to follow audible commands that include walking, voice projection, fast paced movements, improvisation, group interaction and basic physical contact.
Children's class objective.
Children will use their imagination to, through acting, recreate elements other than their identity. Likewise, they will be able to put into practice their creativity and ability to improvise in all the exercises. Children are expected to be able to understand simple commands and execute them in consideration. Children should be able to follow these commands holistically. Participants are expected to use improvisation as an essential element of the performance.
